Our Vision and Values

Our School Values

In the Autumn of 2022, the whole school community came together to decide what the school values should be. Children, staff, parents and governors were all involved in the process.  We decided these values will be at the heart of everything we do. Children get rewarded in 'Well Done' assemblies for demonstrating our values.

We call them our RESPECT values:

  • Responsibility
  • Resilience
  • Equality
  • Safe
  • Positivity
  • Empathy
  • Curiosity
  • Courage
  • Trust
  • Togetherness

Our Vision

At Barwick and Stoford Community Primary School our vision is that ‘All our children can achieve success’. We strive to ensure that the children are always at the centre of what we do.  Our children are encouraged to be confident and engaged with their own learning, being challenged at their own level with high aspirations and expectations. Through our school community we aim to do this by:

  • Setting and promoting the highest standards of teaching, learning, progress and achievement
  • Promote equality and appreciation of diversity through an inclusive culture
  • Promoting high standards of learning behaviour both in and outside of the classroom
  • Developing children’s resilience, independence and creativity
  • Providing a healthy, safe and happy environment
  • Building on positive links with our families and the local wider community.

We recognise we all have a part to play in this and ensure we hold each other to account to provide the best education that we can for all our children.

Our staff are committed to:

  • Helping all children to achieve their full potential
  • Ensuring that teaching is focused, well-paced and challenging
  • Recognising and making provision for individual pupil needs
  • Providing a safe, well organised, stimulating, interactive environment that promotes interest
  • Encouraging pupils to work with growing independence
  • Fostering positive relationships with those connected with the school
  • Continuing to develop our own skills, knowledge and understanding in line with the School Development plan
  • Working in partnership with parents by keeping them informed and involved

Our children are committed to:

  • Always being kind, helpful and respectful
  • Listening carefully
  • Working hard
  • Always telling the truth
  • Looking after everything, everywhere

Our governors are committed to:

  • Setting the budget in order to ensure best value for the whole school
  • Agreeing and monitoring standards
  • Monitoring and evaluating the school’s curriculum
  • Ensuring that the School Development Plan is successfully implemented
  • Working in partnership with the whole school community
